Events at Lake Lorraine
The Friessen Family sought to create a gift for the community when they envisioned Lake Lorraine. While the development is still under construction, events designed to bring the community out to Lake Lorraine continue to be added. The goal of these events is to introduce people to the awesome and growing business community, as well as to enjoy the beautiful setting.

Lake Lorraine Farmers Market
JUNE-OCTOBER
THURSDAYS, 4-7 p.m.
EAST side of the Development, in the parking lot south of Hobby Lobby
Join us every Thursday from 4-7 p.m. on the EAST side of the development in the parking lot south of Hobby Lobby.

Activities with South Dakota Game, Fish & Parks
SPECIAL POP-UP EVENTS
Lake Lorraine developers have partnered with South Dakota Game, Fish & Parks to expand recreational activities at the lake. Pop-up events will take place throughout the year. To participate, you must register through GF&P.
There is no fishing or swimming allowed at Lake Lorraine. Registering for classes with GF&P is the only way to fish at Lake Lorraine.
Halloween at Lake Lorraine
OCTOBER
A fun, FREE, family-friendly event is what Halloween at Lake Lorraine is all about! Previous years have included a costume contest and trick-or-treating at participating Lake Lorraine businesses to other surprises around the lake. This is one event you don’t want to miss!
Crazy Days
SUMMER & WINTER
Great deals can be found around the development every day, but especially during Crazy Days! Twice a year participating Lake Lorraine businesses.
Loop the Lake
LATE SUMMER
In partnership with Flow & Paddle, the Loop the Lake race invites participants to race around the lake on a kayak or paddleboard. It’s harder than it looks! In 2023 a biathlon option was added, which incorporated a 1-mile run on the Lake Walk path after the paddle.
Recreation
YEAR-ROUND
From the Lake Walk that encircles the lake to growing recreational opportunities, more items continue to be added to the development.
