KELO: New Sensor to Relieve Traffic Stress at Lake Lorraine

Story by Claire Lavezzorio  with Keloland News

Security National Bank sits right on the corner of 26th Street and Lorraine Drive in west Sioux Falls.

Branch Manager Jennifer Johnson has a front-row seat to the cars driving by.

"When a couple of the businesses first opened, it was definitely an eye opener to see all of the people turning in here," Johnson said.

With Marshalls and Homegoods now open nearby, a left turn onto Lorraine Drive isn't easy.

"We're having a hard time storing all of the left turning vehicles and getting them moved efficiently through the intersection," City Engineer Heath Hoftiezer said.

KSFY: Marshalls, HomeGoods open Thursday at Lake Lorraine

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KSFY) - Sioux Falls shoppers are set to welcome two retailers developers say people have been asking for for years.

If you enjoy the thrill of the hunt and brand names for less, then you’ll be happy to know both HomeGoods and Marshalls open Thursday morning.

KSFY News reporter Erika Leigh was able to get inside and see a sneak peek of what you can expect.

"This has always been our number one request on Facebook, and the information that we're getting from consumers that they really want a HomeGoods/Marshalls here in Sioux Falls, so we're really excited that we could accomplish that and bring it to town," Steve Van Buskirk with Van Buskirk Companies said.
